I have the A6 version of this pen. I upgraded the M8 to replace my old pen. I like this new version because the old version only had 2 notches in the cartridge clip and sometime the needle cartridge will pop out after long use. The M8 has 3 notches so it’s much more secure. The pen itself is still made of aluminum outer pen, but feels sturdier. This unit also has an internal lithium battery and each full charge will get you about 4 hours of use.
I bought this for collagen induction therapy. I figure I better buy the higher end because this has 16 needles than the 12 needles in other pens. It also comes with 2 cartridges with this pen. I’ll update as I use it more so stay tuned.

I have been doing this for about a month now and am pleasantly surprised with the results. I got it to help with enlarged pores, but wouldn't be upset if it helped wrinkles lol. I originally used an OTC lidocaine for pain, but have since found that I really don't need it. I don't use the deepest setting, but I've increased it from the shallowest. The pen is a hefty weight and easy to maneuver. I got 5 sterile needles in the kit, which was enough to start trying the process for a month. I have a few stretch marks on my body that I am planning on trying this on next. The only thing I would tell someone who just received theirs would be to watch a few youtube videos on how to use it and to have a few down days after the first couple of treatments. I had some redness and swelling, but I was warned that that could happen and I have very sensitive skin, so it was hardly a surprise.

I really would have preferred to wait until I’d used it a couple of times before reviewing but they sent me a thing for a free box of needle carts and this was part of the deal!! It’s a solid win for me- even just after the first use tho. Watch all the dr pen vids you can FIRST and pay attention to the appropriate speeds/depths for different areas- that matters! I have seen a few vids (by beauty DIYers ) where they aren’t wearing gloves, don’t discuss keeping your work area clean, cross contamination etc and it makes me nervous. As a nurse, I’ve seen the horror stories! Disinfect your work surface, use the chlorhexadine scrub to wash off the numbing cream like dr pen says, and wear the gloves. Don’t dip into an open container with that gloved finger you just touched your skin with (especially skin that you’ve just poked holes in)- be mindful of cross contamination. I use paper towels from the second layer down on a new roll as even just washed towels may still have bacteria that could get into those little wounds you’ve just made! Just like with after-care, you don’t want “active” products on your skin during or your skin will be very upset. Stick with plain HA (huge fan of the Ordinary’s 2%- very high quality and inexpensive.) All that said- the results are going to be good if you follow instructions because this is as close as you’ll get to a salon dermapen!

If you don’t, you may want to match it with some numbing cream as others have mentioned. worried at first (needling sounded scary to me) but I watched some videos before buying and it seems safe as long as you use good hygiene practices and don’t reuse the little cartridges or share them.
I like that it was a wireless device, but also that it came with a bunch of refill cartridges. It seemed fancier than a “roller”, and I hope that means it’s more effective. It probably goes deeper than the ones you roll, depending on the cartridge you use (there are different sizes and types). I used this for the first time today and so far, so good. It’s easy to use and doesn’t hurt. I did buy the lidocaine and hyaluronic acid that was recommended when purchasing. I think both are necessary. I also used a collagen face mask after the treatment, like I saw in one video. I watched a lot of YouTube videos before using. I didn’t bleed and only had a slight pink, sunburn look for a few hours. I don’t know if it’s because the tool isn’t working properly or if it’s just my skin. I have used a 0.5mm roller before and never had bleeding then either. You’re only supposed to microneedle every 6 weeks, so with all of the cartridges this pen comes with, it should last a year. I read that the 16 pin cartridges are for the face and 36 pin cartridges are for larger areas such as the body or scalp.
My mother-in-law spent over $1,000 for one treatment with her esthetician. For the price, I think this pen is a great deal and worth a shot.

I had a PRP + Microneedling facial for my birthday, and the RN used a vibrating pen device that was much more comfortable than my roller set. I have seen a few vids (by beauty DIYers ) where they aren’t wearing gloves, don’t discuss keeping your work area clean, cross contamination etc and it makes me nervous. As a nurse, I’ve seen the horror stories! Disinfect your work surface, use the chlorhexadine scrub to wash off the numbing cream like dr pen says, and wear the gloves. Don’t dip into an open container with that gloved finger you just touched your skin with (especially skin that you’ve just poked holes in)- be mindful of cross contamination. I use paper towels from the second layer down on a new roll as even just washed towels may still have bacteria that could get into those little wounds you’ve just made! Just like with after-care, you don’t want “active” products on your skin during or your skin will be very upset. Stick with plain HA (huge fan of the Ordinary’s 2%- very high quality and inexpensive.) All that said- the results are going to be good if you follow instructions because this is as close as you’ll get to a salon dermapen!

I was super hesitant about trying this as I’ve never done it before but I must say, I am impressed. The pain was very minimal but as others have stated I have tattoos so this was nothing. If you don’t, you may want to match it with some numbing cream as others have mentioned. I personally go a little lighter than others and ensure I’m fully healed before doing another round but so far the results have been great. I’m already feeling much more confident about my looks and plan to continue using this and my retinol serum to mitigate the signs of aging.

Easy to use and most importantly, does not cause irritation. I have a very sensitive skin and eczema. It left couple of pink spots that were gone in 15 minutes. worried at first (needling sounded scary to me) but I watched some videos before buying and it seems safe as long as you use good hygiene practices and don’t reuse the little cartridges or share them.
I like that it was a wireless device, but also that it came with a bunch of refill cartridges. It seemed fancier than a “roller”, and I hope that means it’s more effective. It probably goes deeper than the ones you roll, depending on the cartridge you use (there are different sizes and types). Since it’s a gift I don’t have firsthand experience with the product, but my mom is happy with it and it seemed to be exactly what she was looking for. I am curious and might even get one for myself later, after the holidays.

I used this for the first time today and so far, so good. It’s easy to use and doesn’t hurt. I did buy the lidocaine and hyaluronic acid that was recommended when purchasing. I think both are necessary. I also used a collagen face mask after the treatment, like I saw in one video. I watched a lot of YouTube videos before using. I didn’t bleed and only had a slight pink, sunburn look for a few hours. I don’t know if it’s because the tool isn’t working properly or if it’s just my skin. I have used a 0.5mm roller before and never had bleeding then either. You’re only supposed to microneedle every 6 weeks, so with all of the cartridges this pen comes with, it should last a year. I read that the 16 pin cartridges are for the face and 36 pin cartridges are for larger areas such as the body or scalp.
My mother-in-law spent over $1,000 for one treatment with her esthetician. For the price, I think this pen is a great deal and worth a shot.

Not only does this pen cost almost half of one session, it comes with 20 replacement needles. If you do your microneedling once every 6 weeks like I do, that's about 9 sessions. I like this pen a lot! I have never done micro needling, so I couldn’t compare it. It works well though, has multiple speed options. All of the needles were in individually sealed packages. The wireless is convenient for looking in the mirror to do it on your own.

I have had a Microneedling roller set for some time but used it infrequently because Microneedling is unpleasant. I had a PRP + Microneedling facial for my birthday, and the RN used a vibrating pen device that was much more comfortable than my roller set. I decided to look into an at home device, and was pleased to find this highly rated one on sale. The cartridges come in individually sealed sterile packaging. Since I am the only user, I drop a few drops of isopropyl alcohol into the cap and reuse them. This is a great addition to my anti aging routine which already included microcurrent, IR/Red light, and 3MHz ultrasound. I do notice a difference especially around my eye area and lips. I won’t lie, it still hurts. I have ordered lidocaine gel as a pre treatment and hope that will allow me to use the more effective needle length. Great product for a fraction of the cost of a professional facial.
